Women. Come and sing! An in-person event in Stratford, ON.
Treat your mind, body and soul to a couple of hours of vocal fun. Led by Ev Ward we will gather in circle to hum, chant, and sing world music supporting women’s spirituality. Bring your voice and intention to self-care. You don’t have to read music, there’s not a lot of difficult harmony and we’re not performing for anybody. We will create a body of sound that will astound you.

Singing is spiritually healing, activates your pleasure centre and tones your vagus nerve. Medical evidence shows that music isn’t just beautiful; actual physiological changes happen that tame tension, depression and aid recovery. Our hearts, the heart of our community and country need comfort, healing, beauty and courage. In song we come together as women to offer these to ourselves, one another and to the world around us. The power in music ripples out and sinks deeply.
This event is for you if you:
1. Want to give yourself a treat and have some embodied fun.
2. Want to sing something other than hymns, the hockey game national anthem or Karaoke.
3. Can’t commit to a choir.
4. Are afraid to sing.
5. Don’t like your own voice.
6. Were told in school to stop singing.
7. Love choral music.
8. Can’t remember the last time you sang just for pleasure.

Ev is a music facilitator and mixed media fibre artist. She has performed in professional music theatre, percussion ensembles, churches and choirs. She hosts personal growth creativity workshops. Her Soundwork as Soulwork practice encourages people to explore their personal journey through the presence and beauty of sound using voice and instruments.
