I needed a long walk this afternoon. My feet took me to a large treed park. It happens to be a cemetery.
The grounds are sprinkled with a few stone buildings, most about one hundred years old.
One of these larger mausoleums is ornamented with a wee stained glass window. You can’t see the coloured glass from the outside.
Only looking through the clear glass of the ornate bronze doors does the art shine through.
I didn’t go looking for it but I did ask for a sign today.
I needed this tiny angel peering out at me through the keyhole.
I love old cemeteries, too. Besides enjoying the craftsmanship of the monuments, I find them grounding and peaceful. The dead are very quiet and good company 🙂
Thanks Pia.
